Basic Skills Update

Who is the course for?
The Basic Skills Update course is not mandatory although the HSE strongly recommend that first aiders undertake annual refresher training. This course will help you to maintain your basic skills and keep you up to date with any changes to first aid procedures.

Minimum Entry Requirements:
16+ years of age. It’s desirable that the person has a valid First Aid certificate, but not essential.

Certification:
Certificate of competence. Issued by the Ambulance Service and is valid for twelve months.

Duration:
Half Day.

Class Size:
Student / Instructor ratio of 12:1.

Who delivers it?
Commercial Ambulance Instructor.
