First Aid for Child Carers

Who is the course for?
This course has been designed to give the knowledge and skills with specific reference to providing first aid for children. 

Minimum Entry Requirements:
16+ years of age. It’s desirable that the person has a valid First Aid certificate, but not essential.

Certification:
Certificate of competence. Issued by the Ambulance Service and valid for twelve months.

Duration: 
2 Day course suitable for nursery staff and childminders.

1 Day course suitable for anyone who has children in their care.

0.5 Day course is suitable for Foster Carers, parents, grandparents etc.

Class Size:
Student / Instructor ratio of 12:1.

Who delivers it?
Commercial Ambulance Instructor.

Description:
Training provided will cover a range of topics dependant on the length of course chosen.
