Who is the course for?
People who need to move and handle people as part of their role, maybe as a carer at home,or as part of their occupation such as nurse, health visitor, nursing home assistant etc.

Minimum Entry Requirements:
16+ years of age.

Certification:
Certificate of competence. Issued by the Ambulance Service and valid for one year.

Duration: 
One Day.

Class Size:
Student / Instructor ratio of 12:1.

Who delivers it?
Commercial Ambulance Instructor.

Description:
The course will enable delegates to understand the principles and priorities when movingand handling people / clients and ensure competence when facilitating this need withinthe workplace. The course emphasises the need to personal safety and assessment of theload, task, environment and individual capacity. Delegates will also realise the importanceof reducing the risk of injury and be given practical advice and demonstration on how toeffectively manage these situations within the workplace.
